The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, looked pretty in pink and pearls as she always does!

The Duchess fashioned a gorgeous Alexander McQueen suit with a low-cut neckline, peplum detailing, and A-line pleated skirt. The look was really completed when the royal Fashionista added the classic glamour of pearl earrings, a gold clutch and her favorite, L.K. Bennett nude heels.

The royal couple looked quite damper and they really enjoyed themselves when they entered the DJ booth at The Northern Sound System youth community center in Adelaide, Australia. read more

Everyone loves a great nail art job and we have found just that!

Natacha Medeiros, owner of blog, =&0=& created fabulous nail art with pearls! Natacha created the nails as a special request from =&1=& who asked her to create a nail look using their May 2014 cover as inspiration.

“I recently got contacted by Flare (ahhhh!), one of my fav mags, to do some nails inspired by one of their recent covers, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity. I chose to emulate their most recent, May cover featuring Eva Mendes in some pretty pink tweed, silver accents and pearls with a beigy-peach backdrop. Can you tell I did just that? CELEBRITIES IN PEARLS: Eva Mendes on Cover of Flare Magazine Wearing Pearls (May 2014)

Lovely Latina, Eva Mendes looks more beautiful than ever as she graces the cover of FLARE Magazine for May 2014.

What caught our attention other than the actresses stunning looks? The pearls, of course!

On the cover Eva can be seen with natural makeup, a Chanel dress, and a gorgeous pearl necklace.

Photographer, Guy Aorch, continued to take great images of the beauty and her retro-inspired style in complementing Zac Posen, Rochas and Chanel dresses.

In the magazine the star shared some really interesting facts about her including her mother’s critiques about her work and style:

“She’s usually on the money. If she doesn’t like something, I can usually see why: it didn’t photograph well or looked weird around the waist.”

She continues, “My mother always says she wants to see me in more fitted things! She’s always saying, ‘Show off your body, it’s not always going to be like this!’” We think that mom has a great point. Eva Mendes has a great physique that seems to get greater with age.

Why she loves dresses:

“I’m always in dresses, in a skirt—I think they’re so easy. People are always saying, ‘I love jeans, they’re so casual and easy,’ but I think jeans aren’t easy. They’re my worst nightmare.”

In addition, the =&0=&star=&1=&likes to be creative with her style and about her choice not to be so revealing in her clothing:

“It’s not that I’m against body-conscious clothes: I have worn them on the red carpet or out, but when I’m photographed in them, I always regret it. For me, it’s always been the easy way out. When I wear something a little more revealing, I think, Oh, gosh, I should have been more creative.”

She continues, “I don’t like when it’s just me and I’m not working. I don’t like feeling like I’m on display.”

I am so excited that my prom is around the corner! I am making last minute accessory decisions and I am heavily leaning towards wearing pearls but I have no idea how to wear them. Do you have any pointers for me on wearing pearls on my prom without looking outdated?

By the way, my dress is quite similar to the one I sent.

Hi Kimberly!

I know that you are excited! Prom is a very special day in a teenager’s life where you get to show your maturity and style. Many do not think about it until it’s too late but shopping for prom accessories can be really overwhelming (almost as much as the dress).

The accessories are important because they must complement the dress without being too overpowering. Overpowering accessories can be look very junky. So I would recommend pearls for the prom as an absolute necessity!

Pearls are classy, stylish, and they look great with almost every prom dress.

It was a great idea to send me an idea of what your dress looks like because it makes it easy for me to give you a true-to-life example. I am going to style the dress three different ways to give you an example of how pearls can change the look, almost completely.

 

Here are some ways to incorporate pearls into your prom day wardrobe:

  • Pearl Clutch- Pearl clutches are fun, and really unexpected making them a great addition to your prom accessories.
  • Pearl Earrings- Pearl earrings are always going to be the #1 pearl accessory because they are simple and add a little regal-ness to your style.
  • Pearl Necklace- Pearl necklaces are fun to wear especially when you layer them. Add several layers and lengths to give it a little edge.

    PEARL FASHION: College Grad Decorates Cap with Pearls (PHOTO)

    Graduation time is right around the corner and what an exciting time it is!

    An elated college graduate shared her excitement on her Tumblr, “mrsmonogrammedbelle”, with really fun images of her cap in which she had decorated with awesome graphics, fun pearl bordering and even a cutie pink bow– how creative!

    Along with the pictures she made the following comments:
